This spectacular, like-new, all-original, 1987 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Coupe with the sport package is in excellent condition with just over 66,000 miles

3.2 Carrera Evolution

In 1984 the 3.2 Carrera replaced the 911SC series featuring a new higher displacement motor with new inlet manifold and exhaust systems fitted. The engine produced 207 bhp and accelerated 0-60 in 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 150mph.

In 1987 the 915 transmission was replaced by Porsche with the “G50’” 5 speed gearbox sourced from Getrag with proven Borg Warner synchronizers. The gear selector had a more defined gate. It also featured a hydraulic actuated clutch. Driving refinement and motor reliability were additionally improved with an upgrade of the fuel and ignition control components to an L-Jetronic and Bosch Mototronics 2 Digital Motor Electronics. This resulted in better fuel economy and an increase in power to 217 bhp for North American delivered cars. The brake discs were increased in size to help dissipate heat more effectively and a finned oil cooler was added in the front fender well with a thermostatically controlled fan. The 1987-1989 3.2 Carrera represent the final evolution of this original 911 body. A true driver and collector’s car.
